The Paperwork

Today's Factoid

I've played the Kevin Bacon game and met someone who knows more movies than me.

Two entries in a row; it's like a whole new month.

I'm doing a bit better today. I did some work at Spring Creek this morning and then headed over to USC for the afternoon guest speakers, who were...Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel! Pretty funny speakers -- Lowell is definitely "the front guy": always on, lots of energy, right there. Babaloo was quiet, but when he said something, he was hysterically funny. A nice pair of guys, very encouraging.

After the session I went over to the University Park mall with a couple of fellow GSPers: Evan, Arden, Brian, Marc, Matt, Lise, and me. Everyone got dinner except me and Evan. Marc showed up a little later. Because Arden said that Marc was a walking Cinemania, we started playing the Kevin Bacon game (which is, you can get from any actor in history to Kevin Bacon in 6 steps or less) and Marc kicked ass. There was one jump he made that was totally amazing -- it involved going from Christopher Lee to Tim Matheson via 1941. Marc has encyclopaedic knowledge of films.

Last night I went over to the Boys' to watch the DS9 Tribble episode and then the first episode of Season 4 of Babylon 5. Therese showed me pictures from the wedding a couple of weeks ago.

Fernando's coming over tomorrow to help me assemble my new bedroom furniture. Darin, Harry, and Mike told me to ask Fernando, who has a good eye. Mike said that when he wants to hang a picture at the house, he either doesn't hang it or hangs it wrong, so that Fernando will be compelled to fix it. (Fernando is a regular reader of The Paperwork -- perhaps I shouldn't put this here.)

On Sunday I am filming my final project for Nina's class. Yay! I managed to find a pair of victims -- I mean, an actor and actress. (Part of the reason I was such an eager beaver this morning to get to Spring Creek was so that I could use the fax to get the script to the actress.)

You know, Millenium is one fucking weird show.

They do use all of the serial killer tricks of the trade, though. You know that panel vans, particularly VW vans, are the serial killer's transport of choice, right? Don't park by them, don't walk by them. That's today's safety tip.
