I bought Darin the Season 2.0 DVDs of Battlestar Galactica for his birthday (if I hadn’t, he was going to buy them for me for Christmas — these things were getting bought), and we watched them in about the first day and a half we had them.
I am obsessed by this show.
How obsessed?
I am on tenterhooks about the premiere this Friday. I’ve asked my running bud Rob, who may or may not have experience with BitTorrent, if he’s downloaded the premiere and watched it. I need spoilers. I need to know what’s going to happen. Are there spoiler sites? There must be. I need a fix.
I’m not going to be able to watch this show one week at a time. I’m spoiled by having overdosed via DVD sets.
(I’m so out to lunch about this show I even looked up BG fanfic on fanfiction.net. (I know. I know, okay?) Not surprising: number one pairing is Lee/Kara. Extremely surprising? Number two is Lee/Roslin. VERY. DISTURBING.)

Talking of sci-fi series obsessions, I’m tempted by the Babylon 5 script books but I have masses of other things to read as it is.

Someone pointed me to this story, which is even more bizarre: not only is it Lee/Roslin, it’s also pregnant-Roslin/Inara-from-Firefly.

I…I don’t know what to say.
Given some of the fanfic Lee Goldberg has managed to uncover, this story doesn’t even rate. But still…shudder.

My son has so thoroughly taken over the TV that I would have missed the premiere if I hadn’t been reading your blog.
And I call myself a Battlestar Galactica fan.
Arrrrgh.

This blog is all about the public service.

Try the TelevisionWithoutPity.com Battlestar Galactica forum.
There are, at last count, 11 pages discussing the latest episode — there were 23 pages discussing the mid-season cliffhanger. And a bunch of other topics from comparisons to the old series to one called “Ronald D. Moore: The Anti-Bermanga?”.
Oh, and very funny episode recaps, too. (Follow the “Recaps & Extras” link und the title graphic.)
