Today, instead of having Biz class, we had the Biz class midterm. Last Thursday was the review session. I had thought I understood the material; the review session totally confused the hell out of me. Thankfully the midterm was open-note (including all the damn handouts filled with endless columns of numbers).

I have no idea how I did. I don't think any of us does. Want to know how the teacher grades the test? If you get the answer 123.45, and the answer should have been given in dollars -- that is, $123.45 -- you have just gotten the answer wrong.

I met Erica as I was walking to the midterm and she walked with me, first to the GSP office and then to the midterm. She mentioned that a bunch of people in the class had gotten together over the weekend to study.

I tried not to feel hurt. Maybe they'd just forgotten to call me, etc., etc. When I mentioned it to Linda later on, she said that I should say something to Justin (at whose apartment the review was held). My incipient paranoia rears its ugly head, however; I'm once again afraid everyone hates me.

When I got home I watched the second half of Pride and Prejudice on A&E, a really great production marred only by the fact that A&E put commercials in every 10 minutes. I got so caught up in the first half -- it's such a cool love story; that wacky Jane Austen really knew how to tug strings -- that I had to watch the second half. Darin came home from working with Brent and watched it with me.

Then, despite the fact that it was now 1am, I couldn't fall asleep to save my life. It wasn't until 3 that I remembered I still had melatonin (which I haven't used for months). I whipped the bottle out and took two.

The
             Paperwork continues...
