The Paperwork

VH-1 Fashion Awards?

The kind of diary entry you've come to fear.

I overslept again this morning, only by an hour this morning. I was twenty minutes late for class and Nina didn't say anything as I snuck in. When Aaron came in a few minutes later, Nina called attention to his arriving late. I have no idea why.

We did the breakdown of a couple of people's final projects today, plus a few exercises in blocking a scene for a single camera setup. I starred in one of the exercises -- okay, not starred so much as walked through and had two lines in. The exercise wasn't about acting so much as blocking, so I'm not terribly upset about not getting feedback. (Who here believed me when I said that? Come on, let's see those hands -- okay, you've got me, I want feedback all the time.)

I came home and got a message on my machine about how I'm still registered for the other production class, despite the fact that I thought this was taken care of five to six weeks ago. This annoys me. I don't really want to run around getting add/drop slips at this point in the semester.

I knew I'd been oversleeping because I was tired, so I took a nap. Three and a half hour nap. I forced myself to wake up (I didn't want to at all) and I'm doing laundry. Pretty exciting, huh?

I'm going to watch the one, paltry Wiseguy tape I have available to me before Babylon 5 comes on. And after that I'm going to go back to bed. At some point, however, I should really eat something. I didn't get to eat before class and I've only had a muffin since. Not exactly the kind of diet to keep me going.

I was supposed to go up to No. Cal. this weekend but I told Darin I couldn't do it -- after going away for three weekends in a row and feeling overwhelmed when I was in town, trying to play catchup, I need to stay here, get a few things in order. Also, we're having a review section for Brooke's class (midterm on Monday, followed by a Halloween junk-food party!) tomorrow evening, after the Friday guest speakers, about whom I am very, very excited and very, very closed-mouth.

So there won't be an entry until later tomorrow evening, as I sit down to watch The X-Files ("War of the Coprophages", aka, The Cockroach Episode), Millenium, and Homicide.

Maybe I should investigate writing for television. At least I could start justifying watching this much of it.

Hey, if you peek in on The Paperwork from time to time and you haven't introduced yourself, drop me a line. I check my access list nearly every day, and I see a couple of addresses over and over again -- and I haven't a clue as to who some of you are!

I also see that some of you check the index over and over again -- yes, Laine, I mean you. Remember, I send out messages when there's a new entry via the notification list, so sign up today! (Instructions on the index page.)
