The Paperwork

Working Hard

Writing, reading, cooking, dancing, and...well, not so much dancing.

On both Monday and Tuesday I don't have classes until afternoon. I slept badly this weekend; I said hey, Diane, chica, sleep in.

Both days I wake up at 8:30. I am not amused.

I have decided to take an internship at a production company on the Warner Bros. lot. I'll have to ask if I can say which one it is and how much I can say about what I do.

I can't believe I have to put this caveat in, but I do: if I can say which one it is, don't call up and say that Diane recommended your screenplay, can you send it in? Because they'll ask me and I'll say I said absolutely no such thing and even I know that Hollywood is a small town. People get reputations, and everybody talks.

I have to say this, because some people use this kind of information and think they'll get away with it.

I can't believe how much writing we have to do for writing class. This is nothing, of course, to how much writing we have to do on a screenplay, but because they're just exercises we're not emotionally involved in them. Coming up with characters and situations because they fit the bill, not because they compel me to write is hard work.
