The movie Darin and I came up with in the car on the way home was funnier, punchier, more coherent…yet still allowed Will Ferrell to do shtick (always funny).
Why I willing went to another Nora Ephron movie I have no idea.

Was it that poor? Really?
Saw Sin City a week or so back. Agree with just about everything you said ages ago about its proficiency, and also about the emptiness of it all. Mainly, though, I was bored. Two hours of nonstop butchery evidently isn’t my thing.
And white blood on a sleeve just looks like a seagull’s been busy.

Yeah, it really was that bad. There are some funny bits with Will Ferrell, but overall it’s just an incoherent, poorly written mess. And the worst part of it is, Nora and Delia do not solve the MAIN problem with updating Bewitched: you have all the powers in the universe…and you want to give them up WHY? Instead, they simply give us Nicole Kidman as a witch deciding to give up her powers to be “normal.” Um, okay. Right. THAT makes sense.
The story Darin and I did on the spur of the moment on the way home has a witch who wants to be a witch, and a TV star who very much likes the powers he wields — who gives? and how do they know when they’re being honest with one another? Undoubtedly there are problems with this scenario too — but at least you’d get at something more honest than this nonsense.
